I have written a number of plays for play festivals, as well as read through hundreds of plays on the internet, and I realized there is gap in the publishing industry where good authors struggle to get their plays published. So I have created an online play publishing company that will publish and sell plays!

Nights – Funny Musicals – Adaptation of The Arabian Nights

NIGHTS – FUNNY MUSICALS – ADAPTATION OF THE ARABIAN NIGHTS

nights poster fest

Under the murderous regime of a bitter King, two sisters, Ria and Dee, set about saving the lives of local girls, through Ria’s gift for telling stories.

Halting the nightly cycle of lust and murder, through a talent for cliff-hanger endings, Dee and Ria survive and thrive.
Performed by two singers and two instrumentalists, ‘Nights’ is a very different, all female adaptation of this famous tale, with a distinctly practical approach to life and surviving men.

It’s the game of life. And there are rules. First, you need to get a job. Then you need to find a girl, get married and procreate. It’s also important to apologize to the girl when she’s wrong. It’s actually fundamental. If you get this all right, then you’ll have played the game of life and if you’re lucky, you’ll win! But when Milton tries to start the game of life at the local bus stop, it doesn’t go as well as he had planned…

DAUGHTER LIKE YOU – FAMILY DRAMA SCRIPT

A married couple still mourning the death of their child Abby who passed away fifteen years ago are both struggling to keep their relationship alive.
David works as an engineer and his latest job will see him return to the small town where he and Maria first met and fell in love. He brings Maria along with him with the idea to rekindle their love but also for Maria to reconnect with her Sister Elle, who she has not spoken to in over a decade.

Elle and Maria quickly make up, a little too quickly but Elle fears that her own daughter Sam fifteen years old is focusing too much on a foolish career as a fashion model and is risking destroying her education and chances of going to college. Elle enlists Maria to hang out with Sam and to find out more for her, hoping that Sam will open up more to Maria than she ever would to her.

Maria now starts a close relationship with Sam, unwittingly using her to fulfill her own desires to be a mother at long last. If Abby, the child she had lost all those years ago was still alive today she would be Sam’s age. Maria wants to help Sam become a model, going against everything that Elle had asked of her and tries to convince Sam to come away with her to London to begin her modelling future and where they can exist together as mother and daughter. Secrets and lies come pouring out as everyone fights for what they really want; to be happy.

HONESTY – RADIO PLAYS

Colin is an ordinary hen-pecked husband who lives a very quiet life with his wife, Sandra. He is the type who, though likable, is looked down upon by some as a boring mundane character. He is the type who would never even think about straying beyond the boundaries of respectably. However all that drastically changes one evening when he reluctantly goes to Arthur’s Leaving Do.

They are in the Dolphin Inn, where Colin is coerced into having pints of beer. As the evening wears on he becomes interested in Pauline, an attractive woman there. Eventually she agrees to let him walk her home. None of his office friends see them leave together.

Their walk is interrupted by a car suddenly pulling up close to them – it is Johnnie, Pauline’s boyfriend – a very jealous and angry Johnnie! A row and fight develops – both Colin and Johnnie are injured.

After Pauline leaves with Johnnie in his car, a limping Colin, clutching his injured fist, makes his way to the main street. But two yobbos try to mug him – he resists, and is only saved from serious injury by the intervention of three passing men – they are in fact three of his office friends from Arthur’s leaving Do. … A passing police car arrives on the scene, and as a result an ambulance is called for and Colin is taken to hospital – one of his friends, Geoff, travels with him. … Because of Colin’s injuries it is assumed that they were caused by the yobbos

DR GEORGE’S MAGNIFICENT ZEPPELIN – CHILDREN’S MUSICAL PLAYS

“Doctor George’s Magnificent Zeppelin” involves a zany cluster of characters who are zestfully, if not reluctantly determined to save the globe from the dire consequences of exploitation, prejudice, greed, and the evils of unrepentant egotism. Doctor George’s adventurous crew encounters mermaids, pirates, fairies, an evil queen, and a reluctant dragon. Spirited musical lyrics convey the plot and intentions of the characters. In the guise of a children’s story it pokes fun at the powers that be who mistreat the populace they engage. Cruelty, greed, dictators, and terrorists are all held up to the mirror of vanity, exposing them to the light of repentance and love. Doctor George and his crew continue their journey to save the world and to shed light on the ravages of egotistical tyrants.

A mother reads a bed time story to her child as a metaphor for her ultimate action. AM I GOOD? – ONE ACT COMEDY SCRIPTS

In this one act comedy, Nora is anxiously preparing for a big date, when her next door neighbour, Mrs Henderson, arrives at the door with a family emergency and asks if she could leave her sixteen year old son, Brody with Nora for a short time. Nora says yes, of course, but what she doesn’t know is that while she was getting ready, the hem of her skirt had gotten caught in her waistband on the one side, exposing half of her bottom and her thong for Brody to see.

A lovely piece for three actors with great comic elements but also shows the development of the characters as the play progresses.

“Am I Good,” written by Jean Blasiar and directed by Sarah Albertson with a screamingly funny performance by the youthful Caber Russell as Brody and an innocently sexy performance by Ann McCormick as Nora Fisher. “

To commemorate its 20th year of offering up the “8 Tens @ Eight” festival, a smorgasbord of 10-minute plays, the Actors’ Theatre this year is produced 16 playlets, one of which was ‘Am I good?’
