LAUNCHING A KID’S COMEDY CLUB – BOOK OF SKITS

Launching a Kid’s Comedy Club is a full length book that not only contains over 100 pages of skits for you to enjoy and act out, but also step by step instructions for just about anything related to drama and kids. From how to make basic costumes and props, including useful links, to how to video and use movie maker to edit your videos, how to write your own skits, how to act out skits as well as how to launch a kid’s comedy club! (Obviously)

Each skit comes with a basic props list (with easy to find things you have at home or can easily make) and stage directions and most of the skits are written for a few actors at a time, so that everyone involved can take part.

Written by one of our bestselling skit writers, Lois Corcoran, this book is great for those who are just looking for a set of skits to perform at their club, church group or school, and also for those people more into drama, props and script writing.

ONE FINE DAY IN THE OPERATING ROOM – SHORT MEDICAL SKIT

In this short medical skit, set in the operating room, a team of incompetent medical staff including a surgeon, nurse and anesthesiologist and of course the unfortunate patient are being filmed for a brand new live television show, “Operation TV. ” Although viewers are warned that the show may be a bit ‘too intense’ for some people, it seems that operation TV is a success because no one likes watching a doc mess up more than a live TV audience.

LITTLE RED WALKING HOOD – LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD SKIT

In this skit on the traditional fairy tale, “Little Red Riding Hood,” Little Red is forced by her mother to take goodies to granny’s house, even though her mother is very well aware of the nasty vicious wolf lurking in the forest between them. This smacks of child abuse to Little Red, but, hey, off she goes, encounters the wolf, naturally. It turns out that the wolf wants her to pay him to escort her through the dangerous woods, but since he doesn’t take visa, they part ways. Until granny’s house…

Note: This little red riding hood skit is two pages long.

ORPHAN ANTSY – SKIT ON THE MUSICAL ANNIE

A four to five minute funny skit on the musical Annie for a cast of 7-10 people. Spoof on the syrupy sweet musical ‘Annie,’ in which a girl wearing a red wig gets borrowed from Miss Shenanigan’s orphanage for one week by a Mr Oliver Warbutts. After the week is up and they try to return her because her singing is getting on their nerves, they are unsurprised to hear that the orphanage doesn’t really want her back. Desperate to get rid of her, Oliver Warbutts finds her real parents, who couldn’t take the singing either, but will put up with her for 50 000 big ones!

One the other side there is what remains of the caller’s home. It could be anything from a blank stage to some rubble lying around. The male caller needs a mobile (cell) phone.
