THE FIGHT GAME – BRITISH DRAMA ABOUT THE WORLD OF BOXING
Andrew Collins is the potential Welter-Weight champion of the world. Trapped in his hotel room, Andrew is trying to prepare for his big fight. But he has bigger problems. Siobhan, his girl-friend is now refusing to marry him and she is convinced he is simply seeking her for a token to look good on his arm. She loves him but won’t marry him. His manager, Ian Brown is there as well, and although he is trying to prepare Andrew for the fight, he is getting drawn into the esclating lover’s spat. Derek Black, the Boxing Promoter is also involved and all he wants is a good fight that will fill the venue. In reality, he cares about nothing except selling tickets and making money, and he’ll do anything to make sure that happens in this British drama about the world of boxing.
There has been a murder. A woman’s body has been found on a bit of waste land. But what has this got to do with these people? As time goes on, the story plays out and takes a twist that shows the real characters of the people in the room. And one of them’s a killer.
