TAIL END CHARLIE – AMERICAN FAMILY DRAMA SET IN POST WW2 ILLINOIS

This modern American family drama is set in post WW2 Illinois. Following the return of a young soldier (Robert Dobson) from the horrors of war to his beloved wife, a tense relationship with his estranged brother, George, and a struggling family business, Robert has to deal with the effects of a long brewing war in his mind and also in his home. His father is mentally ill and it seems he has been getting worse whilst he was gone.

The lingering effects of his father’s mental illness are also beginning to take their toll on the family. It seems that these things are hereditary…in more ways than one. Torn apart by the voices he is hearing inside his head, and the news of his wife’s infidelity with his own brother, things come spiralling down as the play climaxes in a dramatic and awful end. The only question is, “What do you pass on to the ones you leave behind?”
