Streetcar Derailed – a comedy about sisters in law

$5.50

When Blanche, Stella’s sister moves in with Stanley and Stella (a happily married couple), she acts like a whirling dervish on their marriage and Stanley’s social life. Blanche has lost the family farm and is now bankrupt and so Stanley and Stella have kindly offered to put her up until she finds her feet. On the way to finding them, she tries to find herself a new husband in the form of one of Stanley’s regular poets – Stanley runs a poetry club every week where a few poets (all men) meet to read their new works to each other. It’s a genteel affair, or at least Stanley tries to make it so.

Although Stanley SAYS he has no feelings (good or bad) about Blanche whatsoever, she can’t help (or stop) herself from accusing him of thinking she’s not as good as he is, being just a farm girl and all. Stella starts to wonder if Blanche is right and if Stanley really is a snob? A comedy about sisters in law.
