RESILIENCE – FRENCH RESISTANCE SCREENPLAY SET IN WORLD WAR TWO GERMANY
When you’ve lost everything because of war, revenge is a dish best served in blood.
‘Blut und Ehre’ or Blood and Honour, are no doubt firmly intertwined in this war-time tale of a man’s
hunt for freedom, love and self-identity. When Sebastian Moreau, editor in chief of a newspaper in WWII occupied Paris, refuses a request made by his childhood friend Marcel, his simple enough
world unravels into nothing he ever imagined.
Jailed for a “propaganda crime” against the Reich, Sebastian makes use of his only invaluable weapon: the German language. Miraculously escaping bondage he becomes an ally in Germany to those who have helped him survive and seeks to turn the tables on the regime that has ruined Europe. In pursuit of his mission to survive, above all else, he cannot help but wonder of his sister’s fate, the future of his beloved France, incidentally his future as a Frenchman and Marcel…who will surely pay the price for ripping a man’s world apart.
