Description
THE BLACK MASK – A STORY OF GANGSTERS, DRUGS, TRUE LOVE AND BETRAYAL. IRISH CRIME DRAMA
It’s a house in a housing estate in one of the poorest areas in Ireland. In that house Janet and her gangster lover, Gerry O’Reilly are spending a lazy afternoon in bed. Once more she begs him to marry her and once more he refuses. He already has a wife and kids and has always made it clear that he won’t leave them for her. Her mam doesn’t like him one bit and has also made that known, believing she is wasting her life on him, a rubbish good for nothing gangster who’ll never give her what she wants. But Janet won’t listen to reason. And so their affair continues in this Irish Crime Drama.
But today is different. O’Reilly has crossed the wrong people, and word on the street is that a hit is out on him. On O’Reilly’s head. The afternoon is spent in a limbo state alternating between physical pleasure and fear. When they hear that the police have intercepted a van with the hitmen in it, they both breathe a sigh of relief. But it’s a decoy and things are about to get very nasty and events spiral downwards to a tragedy that deals the lovers its final blow.
