BUTTERFLY KISSES – DRAMA ABOUT A KIDNAPPING
Lisa and Michael are in a bad place in this drama about a kidnapping. Overrun by debt, caused by Michael’s gambling addiction, Lisa has started working for Paulo. Michael’s boss at the pig farm where he works. Paulo has a small cocaine business, using the pig farm as a front and Lisa is acting as the local mule. In return for doing this, he has promised to halve their debt to him. But because they are paying him so much every month, they have fallen behind on their payments for everything else. They’re in trouble.
Lisa’s best friend, Sarah, a reporter for the local television station is trying to help them. She even offers to get them a loan in her name. But it isn’t enough. The only one who doesn’t seem to be affected by everything is seven year old Katey, Michael and Lisa’s daughter, who continues to do well at school and seems to be, for all intents and purposes, a happy child. But then one day, she disappears …
