HE’S A NERVOUS NELLIE – ABSURD COMEDY SCRIPT
When Nelson, a psychiatrist, arrives at the home of Maryanne and Lisa, he brings some bad news – that Lisa’s dad has left. Naturally he’s nervous about telling them the news. But then again, he’s always nervous. He even has a number of pills to help him be less nervous (And help him sleep, and help his digestion.) In fact his profession as a psychiatrist gives him access to a good many things to help him cope in this absurd comedy script.
He finds instead that Lisa (Who is a child prodigy and well aware of it) already knows that her father has left and has made up her mind that Nelson had better move in with them to help her mother cope with the recent events. Being too nervous to say no, he agrees. But what will his domineering , managing wife say?
