Description
A NOT SO DARK AND STORMY NIGHT – A (WE KNOW WHODUNIT) MELODRAMA SCRIPT (Digital Script)
A resort cabin by a lake in the middle of nowhere. Two murder mystery writers, Agatha Grimes and Martha Christie are both working on the final stages of their chilling novels. They are all alone in the woods… Or are they? Well, today – apparently not. For a series of mysterious travellers will visit them, perhaps with suspicious and deadly intentions. There’s the (he looks very) nefarious John Moriarty, whose car has apparently ‘broken down.’ Closely followed by his ‘friend,’ come to look for him. Such a pity he’s already dead. And stashed in the pantry by the two old ducks. But these two travellers are not the only ones to visit Agatha and Martha on this not so dark and stormy night in this melodrama script….

Ages of the actors: Two middle aged to older ladies and the rest are adult

Level of difficulty: 7/10 – Melodrama is hysterical when done well. It has to be just over the top enough that it is funny, but not too much. Lots of sound effects and dramatic music can add to the asmosphere.
