WHY AFFAIRS HAPPEN – a Bollywood Hospital Drama script for stage

A typical Bollywood style hospital drama script for stage, set in the emergency room of a remote island hospital,  with all the epic genres of comedy, drama and romance, rolled into one.  The  play follows the lives of various doctors as well as their families and loved ones, set in the emergency room of the hospital. When a well known German specialist visits and subsequently helps out at the hospital, it seems to be fate, as he intervenes and saves the life of a young boy with severe head injuries.

When the handsome Doctor  Basheer meets the provocative and lovely Noor Jahan, the daughter of a wealthy businessman, she falls instantly in love with him and wants to marry him. The marriage goes ahead as her father promises him money  if he marries her. But Doctor Basheer has a secret – he is already married to another woman on the mainland and they have a child – a small boy together. The wedding goes ahead as planned as all seems as if it is well, until his wife decides to visit him!

This hospital drama script will appeal to and is aimed at community and mainstream theatre groups from India and the surrounding countries. It could also possibly be adapted for television.
