Description
THE BIG SOLAR STORM – CHILDREN’S PLAY ABOUT SPACE (Digital Script)
In this children’s play about space and our solar system, the sun and planets are amazed to see the tiny humans hurtling along in their space ship, to explore the outer reaches of our galaxy. The planets , of course get very competetive and vie for the attention of the humans! Saturn, in particular mentions his beautiful rings and definitely thinks he’ll win the competition. All eight planets compete and the story is narrated by a passing comet, whizzing through the sky.
This is a one-act play intended for grades 3 to 5, depending on the curriculum they follow and the level of their English language fluency. This play is rhyming, allowing for a better flow and easy line memorization for children. The play intends to educate students about the properties of the planets of the Solar System through entertainment. The competitive nature of the play makes it exciting and edgy to follow. Children can design and create their own costumes, featuring key properties of each planet as part of the learning process.
