WHO CARES FOR GOD’S ACRES? PLAY ABOUT STOPPING PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT

It’s the meeting of the local Parish council and today, it’s an important one. They’re meeting with a huge property developer who has plans to build a string of new houses all the way from London into their part of Kent. The developers have sent a young representative to talk them through what’s going to happen. As far as she’s concerned it’s a done and dusted deal, but in reality she doesn’t know these villagers and how they’re prepared to fight for their piece of God’s country. Will the villagers find a way to save their church hall and beloved golf course being demolished or will they lose this battle? A play about stopping property development.

Level of Difficulty: The comedy is character based and the characters are almost caricatures of the stereotypical English  village upper class types. One of the characters has a Northen accent.
