NEST OF VIPERS – FILM NOIR STYLE SCREENPLAY IN 1980’S TINSELTOWN
The seedy underbelly of 1980s tinseltown comes to the fore in this gritty thriller about murder, sex, and secrets – and the lengths some people will go to in order to keep those secrets in this film noir style screenplay.
Richard Bayliss, a psychiatrist and writer, is tasked with writing an expose on Nick Ducane, one of Hollywood’s brightest young stars, after the original writer is murdered. But when Ducane himself dies in a staged accident, and two of his brat pack buddies known around town as “The Vipers” are also killed, it becomes clear that someone is willing to go to great lengths to cover up a secret that all of them knew.
As Richard digs deeper into the dark underworld of the movie business, he and his new girlfriend Sandy become targets themselves. As the bodies pile up around them, and Richard finally learns the ugly truth that someone has been so desperate to keep hidden, who can he trust?
Filled with twists and turns, Nest of Vipers is a dark, gritty “film noir” style screenplay.
