Description
DARK MATTERS – PLAY ABOUT DEPRESSION AND MENTAL HEALTH
An actor sits on stage, shadowed by voices, voices who tell the actor how little he/she is worth and how he/she will never get better. The actor talks of their struggle to cope with every day life, to calm the voices going continuously in their head and how being medicated for decades feels. But the voices want to win, to drag the actor down into yet another cycle of depression. The only thing keeping the actor going is his/her children. But once they are gone, will the actor silence the voices for good? A play about depression and mental health.
