SO…WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE BAND? A COLLECTION OF TEN SHORT PLAYS

So..what do you think of the band is a collection of ten short plays which are aimed at both adults and older teens. The plays are quirky, fun and easy and great for drama class.

From the blind date where the men’s profiles clearly got mixed up but she ploughs on regardless,
to the girls who meet Cinderella one night looking for her coach intent on running FROM the prince,
to the girl who plans to rewrite Shakespeare because he uses ‘too many words’,
to the girl who rejects the guy who tells her he loves her for evolutionary reasons,
to the girls who want a macho macho man who cries a lot,
to the guy who started his own parade because he loves parades(and had a naked biker join him),
to the girl who went as Wonderwoman to the prom, went with a guy dressed as Miss Piggy and wondered what went wrong,
to the person who only wants 36 hour relationships as they’re simpler,
to the couple who only want a two year marriage (only the honeymoon period before it gets messy)
and finally the guy who wants to know, “So….What do you think of the band?”

Cast: 20 13F, 7M. doubling a smaller cast could be easily achieved.

Ages of the actors: Teens to adults

Suitable for: Teens up to perform and all ages to watch

Set: None required

Length: The total of all the plays is approximately 20-25 minutes, with each short play being round 2 minutes. The play should be performed as a full one act with each short play finishing, followed by a gong and then the new actors entering.

Level of difficulty: 7/10 – the lines should be punhcy to deliver the humor in them correctly. Situational comedy scripts.
