MYTH – MODERN GREEK PLAY FOR SCHOOLS

Myth tackles the popular ancient Greek myths in a way that is fun, entertaining, and informative for young and old audiences – truly one for all ages. The muses help us keep track of the who’s who of the events. We have Titans, Olympians, and Mortals too! There is a brilliant melding of moments of action and comedy that will truly tickle any historian. There are playful original songs that will keep the attention of any audience, and they lighten the darker side to some of the tales we are told. With a large cast that can be minimized depending on need, this historic Greek play is of mythic proportions! This modern Greek play for schools is perfect for school productions.

This play has been performed in an outdoor setting, making it ideal for any current corona virus restrictions or for a great summer evening.

Type: One Act Play

Genre: Modern Greek Play for schools

Cast: Large ensemble cast: between 15-33 actors. (The actors can double up on roles to minimize cast).

Ages of the actors: Suitable for both primary – KS2 (senior primary) to secondary school and adults. 

Suitable for: All ages to watch and for schools (older primary to teens) to perform. Suitable for KS2 – ages 7 up. Great for amateur groups as well

Length: Forty five minutes

Set: Black Box Set – at the director’s discretion

Level of difficulty: 7/10 – the language used is simple and fun, and it should appeal to pupils from age 11 to 17. Also the number of actors is fairly flexible with doubling allowed, and can be adjusted depending on how many actors there are.
