BURN – PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER CRIME SCRIPT
In this psychological thriller crime script, Robert, Samira and David are awaiting the arrival of their departed business partner, Paul’s daughter, Eve. To be frank they aren’t quite sure what she’s coming for as she missed the funeral but nevertheless they welcome her with warm and open arms. It’s convenient for Eve. She’s a writer and the trio are in the business. Her dad was too. Robert’s wife Tara was a writer of horror. Eve was a great fan of her work. And knows a lot more about Tara than you’d expect. Ah, Tara… in Burn, a one act, when Eve waltzes in with her luggage and a lot to say for someone who’s supposed to be in mourning, the atmosphere grows thick with the mist of the ghosts of Robert’s past, present and future, spiralling to a dramatic climax. Poor Robert. Or is he? Eve couldn’t push the man to his downfall unless he was already on his way.

Set: Robert’s loft apartment
Level of Difficulty: 7/10 – the main challenge here is bringing the tension up to the climax gradually and then all of a sudden hit them with it.
