Beliefs collide in darkly comic but ultimately meaningful ways in this late-night meeting of a zealous young Catholic convert, an involuntarily retired sportswriter, and the nun who taught him fifty years earlier as they assemble packages for the homeless — alms for the poor. Elliott and BBC personality and Wall Street Journal columnist Joe Queenan for a sold-out 2019 Off-Broadway run sharply examines how saints may also be sinners and even a quest for forgiveness can be funny. Set: A church basement with two tables and entrances both stage right and stage left. The former leads to the stairs to the church proper. The latter leads to its parking lot. Some janitorial tool—a broom, a bucket, some rags—lean against the wall stage left.

Level of Difficulty: 7/10 – some care must be taken to keep this as a dark comedy and not as a heavy drama.
