When Siamese twins Jack and Jill’s car breaks down in the middle of a one horse town in the South African Cape countryside, they try to rent a room in the town’s only hotel. Tensions and comedy run high when the dimwitted receptionist insists that they won’t be allowed to share a room because of them being a man and a woman because that sort of thing is simply not heard of. When the manager is called and she is found to share a similar view, Jack and Jill can hardly believe it. Joined at The Hip is a comedic view of people in small towns who have deep seated traditional values but who, at the heart of it all, have the best intentions.

His girlfriend Pinky, innocently drawn into his tender reverie, suffers as she begins to understand the depths of his passion for Thandi, Pinky’s attempts to resuscitate their romance are frustrated by the fact that, unbeknownst to her, her rival in love is an ethereal siren, the perfect woman, the stuff of every man’s dream.
