CHRISTOPHER GOES THROUGH A BREAKUP – FUNNY ONE ACT COMEDY SCRIPT

Christopher is devotedly and passionately in love with Quinn, his girlfriend. She is a very goddess and he worships the ground she walks on. So when his room mate Lazlo brings him a simple note stuck under the door saying that she’s dumping him for her Icelandic swimming instructor, Christopher falls apart in this funny one act comedy script. Lazlo, ever the metrosexual modern male tries to feed him comfort food (quinoa, kale, carrots) but unsurprisingly these things just don’t work.

Determined to get her back, Christopher follows Lazlo to a party where Quinn’s sister will be, planning to crash the party and talk Quinn’s sister into persuading her sister to give him one more chance. Unfortunately it’s a dark and stormy night and the two guys find themselves not at ‘O’Leary’s’ pub, but at a much dodgier ‘O’Leery’s’ pub. With a severe weather warning, the two are forced to spend the evening at the wrong pub with some quite unusual characters including a slightly alcoholic Irish priest and two grumpy old men.

But when an extremely attractive woman enters the bar and it turns out that she’s just dumped her boyfriend, things start to take an abrupt turn…

NOW BOARDING – ONE ACT COMEDY FOR 3 FEMALE ACTORS

Zoey and Annette could not be more different. That Zoey is from the wrong side of the tracks is pretty obvious. Annette is an immaculately dressed, high powered business woman with one flaw, her fiance.

When the two of them are put on a flight together, they could not be less pleased with their flight companion. But as the flight progresses, they learn that they have more in common than they thought, teaming up to sort out Annette’s fiance issues, dealing with Zoey’s horrible air sickness and and becoming the best of friends in this one act comedy for 3 female actors.

Set: A small piece set in the toilets and then the rest is set on the plane itself.

Level of difficulty: 7/10 – static seating. The two mains are seated the whole play so a bit of creativity will need to be used to prevent the play becoming static.

A COUNTRY REUNION – COMEDY ABOUT CHRISTMAS

In this comedy about Christmas and family, Ma and Pa Hawkins, their children; Millie Ann, Billie Jean, Homer and Zeke, the nosy neighbour Miss Abby, Isaac (Billie’s husband), Amos (a cousin or somethin’ like that) and his fiancée Clyde (she ain’t
no man, honey) cousin Virgil, unc’ Jeb, cousin Zelda, aunt Allie, all gather for a true honky tonk, deep fried, southern belles and cowboys, Crooked Creek country Christmas.

It’s a family reunion to rival most when the Highlanders (Martin and Martha) enter the Hawkins’ household, with a detective no less, hell-bent on implicating the Hawkins’ in the crime of stolen Christmas trees, not to mention their prize hog.

But it ain’t just the trees that the Highlanders want… and it ain’t just the trees that the Hawkins might be hidin’. This
holiday, the Spirit of Christmas (and a leetle Moonshine) is workin’ overtime ya’ll!

There ain’t nothin’ like a (crooked) family Christmas!

Stu has decided to stay behind in Hamburg after their tour in Germany and get married….and he didn’t like Paul taking the piss out of him all the time. A fast paced funny play by best selling playwright Morley Shulman, with snappy lines in the style of the classic Beatles films such as ‘ A Hard Day’s Night.’
