Description
THE WINGS OF DRACULA – AUDIO OR ZOOM PLAY
In August of 1889, Arthur Holmwood and his best friend, Quincey Morris, are examining a ship that has inexplicably gone aground at the port city of Whitby, England. The entire crew is missing, and the captain is found dead at the wheel. In order to translate the ship’s German log, they call on Dr. Jack Seward, who also happens to care for Arthur’s ill fiancee, Lucy in this audio or zoom play.
After the disturbing translation of the log, Lucy’s friend, Mina, begins to worry for her own fiancee, Jonathan Harker, who has been in Budapest for the sale of Lucy’s Carfax manor property to a Count by the name of Dracula. At the same time, Lucy’s health takes a sudden turn for the worse and it is almost as if she has lost a substantial amount of blood. Arthur and Dr. Seward notice two small wounds on Lucy’s neck, but don’t think much of it, as there is no way it could account for such substantial blood loss. But when Jonathan returns to Whitby with the same exact scars, there’s no question the circumstances are one-in-the-same.
When Lucy passes away, the others decide to open her grave to make sure her body is inside where it should be. They are unexpectedly greeted by Kate Reed, Dr. Seward’s employee and
Lucy’s childhood friend, who is in a daze and unsure herself what she is doing in the tomb. She claims that Lucy was there too, speaking to her, as if she had never died. When the casket is opened, Lucy comes back to life with glowing red eyes, forcing Jonathan to act quickly with a hammer and stake. Now the group must head to Carfax manor to confront Dracula, and hopefully put a stop to all the madness for good.
