THE SURPRISE – TEN MINUTE COMEDY ABOUT A PROPOSAL

Time moves on and Dr Stanley Kramer, podiatrist has been dating Alice Adler for some time now. The time has finally come for Stanley to pop the question. And to celebrate this momentous occasion, they’ve invited a couple they know over for dinner. Stanley’s hidden the ring inside one of the cream cheese penguins he’s made as appetizers and all Alice needs to do is eat one to find it. He’s also booked a romantic holiday for both of them in this ten minute comedy about a proposal.

Unfortunately Stanley’s timing (and the decision to invite Fred and Helen Miller) couldn’t be more out. Fred and Helen’s relationship is on the way down, leaving them bitter and in Helen’s case with a slight murderous tendency where Fred is concerned. So why on earth would they recommend marriage to anyone?!!

The Surprise is the final part of a Trilogy of ten minute comedies by author Tanis Galik featuring Stanley and Alice – Blind Date and Blind Date, The Aftermath being the first and second parts respectively.
