The Pub Sitter’s Reunion – British Drama about Revenge

$5.50

When Darren Proctor, Sophie Keagan and Anton Lerue are summoned to an intriguing event at a pub hidden away in the Welsh countryside, they are all just too curious to ignore the invitation.  It quickly transpires that they have all received the same invite.  They get to chatting and it turns out that they all went to the same school together. Since then their lives have been very different. Not only do they not recognise each other, but they don’t seem to recognise the landlord, Bill either. When Bill does appear with complimentary wine for everyone they are pleased with this gesture and so they are off to a good start. However, the wine is drugged and when they come round they are all gagged and tied to their chairs. It turns out that Bill’s (who was their teacher) life was destroyed by the impact of having to teach them and it’s his turn for revenge. We all know that some kids can say and do terrible things to their teachers with little or no repercussion. What if the teacher finally got payback in this British drama about revenge?

THE PUB SITTER’S REUNION – BRITISH DRAMA ABOUT REVENGE

The questions the story presents are about accountability and responsibility. When should children become accountable for their actions? Was their behaviour so soured his life that he was prepared to kill them? Is age a good defence when the ripple effect to other’s lives is immeasurable? It also asks why teachers continue teaching when the truths of the job are that teaching is impossible when teacher’s lack the disciplinary wherewithal to offer up a defence for themselves. What happens when detentions don’t quite fit the crime?
