THE LAST PRINCE – FUNNY ONE ACT FAIRY TALE PLAY FOR KIDS AND TEENS

It’s an ancient castle, somewhat falling apart in Medieval Europe where the King, Queen and their daughter Sigfrid reside. Sigfrid is of age, and should be finding herself a Princely husband, but instead spends so much time gallivating around town with the local yokels that the King has been forced to ground her. Her parents despair as one suitor after another leaves without the promise of marriage. But today is different! For the King has found a letter, shot by bow and arrow into their tallest tower (which shows some skill!) from THE LAST PRINCE. It states that he is arriving this very day, to claim her hand! Will the Prince be the Prince her parents have dreamed of, will Sigfrid accept his suit and finally …. will she actually be in the castle at all, or will she have snuck down to town again? With this many variables, who knows? But watch and you’ll find out! A funny one act fairy tale play for kids and teens.

Set: The play is set in a vague quasi fairy-tale characteristics European past. No especial set or costumes are essential, though some castle appurtenances would help set the scene, and a bit of clutter would give the ‘Prince’ something to hide behind. (He is referred to as the ‘Prince’ throughout for simplicity, though this is his self-assigned soubriquet.) The chimney could be offstage.

Level of Difficulty: 7/10m- character based comedy will make this play delightful for the actors and the audience alike
