Description
THE DUEL – TEN MINUTE COMEDY FOR TWO SENIOR ACTORS
In this ten minute comedy for two senior actors, a valiant knight (who may be slightly past it in age) comes across a knight of a similar age. Being such a brave knight, he decides the thing to do is to challenge the other knight to a duel.
But you can’t just do that without protocol. You have to have a reason first. In these cases, the best thing to do is to start with a small insult. About his mother. Being a Saxon. If that doesn’t work, then perhaps telling him all about yourself and your mighty exploits throughout the land may help to inspire him to fight you. For example, how many dragons you singlehandedly vanquished, how many maidens you rescued from eternal imprisonment and how many of your mortal enemies died under your sword. That sort of thing.
But what do you do if the other knight does exactly the same thing?
