TALES FROM THE NORTH POLE – THREE SHORT CHRISTMAS COMEDY SCRIPTS
THE REINDEER REBELLION
It’s two weeks before Christmas and the Reindeer are in mutiny. Rudolph, universally disliked douchebag/red nosed reindeer who already has his own song and his own movie deal and his own assistant, Britney (to polish his antlers), has gone too far this time and gotten Ned (formerly one of the reindeer, now demoted to custodian of the stables) fired and replaced with his little hot girlfriend, Vixen. The rest of the reindeer are up in arms and so far, there are two camps – the camp that supports Rudolph and the one that doesn’t. The one that doesn’t is also working on getting LEGO to include all the reindeer in their North Pole set, not just four, and especially not Rudolph! But in the end it’s up to Santa, and if they all go on strike and Christmas is under threat, they’re betting they’ll get their way. Or will they…..? A short Christmas Comedy Script for eleven actors.
THE SOUTHERN ELF
When Merrick, an orc slaying Southern elf rescues Binky from a wild beast, she falls in love with him at first sight, they move in together and get married. Then they leave the South Pole and travel back to the North Pole where Binky gets Merrick a job in Santa’s workshop. But things start to go wrong. The orc slaying wild elf just doesn’t fit in with the Northern toy-making elves in their bright red and green uniforms with the little bells on the hats. In fact he thinks the hat makes him look ridiculous (it does). But late one night, the workshop is attacked and four of the elves are taken, including Binky. Some fur is found at the scene, and Mrs Claus suspects The abominable snowman. Merrick sets out immediately in the blizzard to get them back despite everyone’s warnings not to take on the feared snowman alone. But will he find them and get the back home safely or is there an unexpected plot twist in this Christmas Comedy script?
THE SET UP
There’s been a murder most foul. Actually, an attempted murder. Santa’s power sleigh has been sabotaged so that it stopped working at thirteen thousand feet, with him inside it. Luckily he survived, but the fact remains that somebody did it. And that somebody needs to be found. Blitzen is the prime suspect, but Ned, his lawyer is convinced that he is innocent and the real perpetrator needs to be found. But who could it be? Vixen’s small hoofprints were found near the scene of the crime, but the perpetrator had really large hoofprints. Rudolph has size thirteen and a half hooves, but he weas filming his new movie all day so it’s clearly not him. That just leaves Blitzen, but he swears he’s innocent. Follow Ned as he tracks down the real dastardly criminal in this Christmas comedy script.
