Description
IN THE FLOODPLAIN – ONE ACT ROMANCE ABOUT MEMORIES
Abigail worries a lot about her son, Apollo. Most sons go out, do sports, meet friends, go drinking. Apollo isn’t that sort of a son. He is building an ark (yes, the biblical type) as he believes he is the least memorable person in the world. Perhaps he thinks that this would make him more memorable, at least in the eyes of his unrequited love, Helen, who he met in tenth grade. Set only in one act, we see Abigail’s attempts to set up Apollo with Helen as glimpses from the past rear their heads. From angry old uncles to fellow classmates, love will find a way through tears, eye tests and boats. A one act romance about memories.
