AN ACT OF GRACE – ONE ACT DARK COMEDY THRILLER ABOUT COMMITTING MURDER
Greed, an illicit affair and a dying woman’s last wish force two men to turn to violence in order to survive a business meeting in this one act dark comedy thriller.
High school classmates Chuck and Tony are successful happily married businessmen in their mid 40s. When a lonely widow named Grace contacts them to ask for help, they are intrigued until they learn what she wants them to do. They are aghast when she tells them that they just need to kill someone. Together. But who is the intended victim? With a suprising turn, it happens that it is Grace herself who is to be killed.
She assures them that there is no way that anyone else would ever know as they have no connections to each other. It would be (for all intents and purposes) a perfect murder. Naturally they are incredulous at first, however she knows things about them, secrets and lies that would have serious consequences for thier families and their careers should they not comply with her wishes. It doesn’t matter that perhaps these things happened a long time ago, or that they’ve changed. All that matters is the cold hard truth. If she doesn’t go down, she’ll take them both down with her.
An Act of Grace by John Muggleton looks at the power of secret and lies when manipulated by a person or persons with ulterior motives. with many twists along the way exposing an intricate web of lies.
