THE LAST TIME I SAW PARIS – THREE ACT COMEDY PLAYS

three act comedy plays

The Last Time I saw Paris – the alternative history – How the horse of Troy thing really went down! Complete with Greek Gods that are actually Scottish, and many, many puns, this teen parody on the Trojan wars in the style of the ‘Carry On films’ will have the cast giggling away , and the audience too. Featuring: Helen of Sparta, Paris, Hector, Achilles and a host of other mythical characters and complete with two songs and incidental music. It is a great play for a large cast, such as a secondary or high school or community theatre group.

Enter Love – Modern Musicals

ENTER LOVE – MODERN MUSICALS

Enter Love is a musical about the nature and vicissitudes of romantic relationships in the first decade of the 21st century. It is set in an international airport, located in a large city somewhere in the mid-west. The production consists of a series of encounters—with dialogue and music—that take place between an assortment of couples and individuals at various locations—arrival and departure concourses, waiting lounges, baggage check, a coffee shop, restaurant, observation deck, and the central location, a bar—in the airport.

During the course of the production the audience witnesses various manifestations and stages of romantic relationships as the characters pass through on their way from one flight to another, and many times from one delayed, canceled, or redirected journey to another, or the continuation of a relationship full of, as pilots like to say, “Chop.”.

“Enter love”….was first on stage at Civic Theatre in Lafayette, IN and then at the Quest Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. This show started out as  cabaret production at the Cabaret in Indianapolis, IN and it grew into a more complete musical of vignettes set in an airport which provided opportunity for couples and strangers to interact.

The author will allow workshopping but not a complete rewrite of the script.

TWENTY FIRST CENTURY STOMP – A RAP DRAMA IN 2 ACTS

A rap drama in two acts, based on the lives of two couples whose lives have been affected by the crash in the economy taking place all over the world and continuing into the present day. These people, David, Joan, Harry and Sara all had good jobs and great lives and lost them suddenly one day when the economy crashed.
Forced to look at their harsh situations, they draw on the memories and the experiences of their lives and those of their families and friends past and present in order to be able to take ‘the next step’ in life, whatever the consequences.

This play is ideal for an arts festival, especially the fringe section of an arts festival as it requires a minimal set and can thus be put on anywhere. It’s message will hold true for many communities who have been hit by the crash in the world’s economy.

Off The Wall Plays is a  young, online publishing house whose aim is to attract quality playwrights with fresh, new ideas as opposed to our larger competitors.  We accept your plays free of charge. Off The Wall Plays will publish your play and get it out there for you. If your play sells, you will get 80% of the Royalties of each sale from the beginning.

Because Off The Wall Plays is a smaller publishing house, we have the resources and time it needs to get your play out there. We put a synopsis and sample of your your play on the front page of the website, when your play goes live, so it gets seen and not just filed into a genre with thousands of other plays. It stays in our top ten new plays for the next few months. We place a sample of your script on the website, not the full play so no one will be able to illegally use your work.

If your play sells well, we will add it to our “Best Sellers” list, automatically ranking it higher than ordinary plays, the price increases, and so do your Royalties. Plays bought to be used for a run or a season will also have license fees that will be paid by the organization that purchased the play, and 50% of those will go to the authors as well.

Once your play has been submitted, your play will be reviewed by our editor, who will contact you. Please have a look at our guidelines for submitting your play – by following these guidelines it will help your play sell.  We don’t mind correcting the odd typo, but plays with many spelling mistakes, missing punctuation marks and poor grammar will be sent back to the authors for correction before they can be considered for publishing, so please make sure yours is 100% first before you send it! We also try to get back to authors within a few days at most so they will know almost immediately that their script has been received and whether or not it will be published.
